NFL Insider Jason La Canfora of Casino.org has reported that Minshew is the most obvious quarterback to be available to any QB-needy roster. He stated: '(Minshew) can give you some energy and run around and make some things happen for a few weeks until he hits the wall. Minshew's experience and low salary make him a prime trade target for QB-needy teams by deadline.

Veteran backup with 63 NFL games and 47 starts; signed to Cardinals at $5.75 million (cheap for a backup), making him valuable insurance if Brissett is injured. NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports Minshew is 'the most obvious quarterback to be available to any QB-needy roster' and can 'give you some energy and run around and make some things happen for a few weeks until he hits the wall.' La Canfora stated an NFL GM told him Minshew will be gone by the trade deadline. Trade value estimated at a fifth-round pick.
