Beck has played in one contest – an exhibition. And that's it. Plus, he went up against the other team's #2 defense all game. Now, it is big-boy football going on, and Beck is not battle-tested whatsoever.

STACKED’s take

Negative signalRole

Beck's single exhibition game makes him unproven backup compared to experienced Minshew.

Rookie QB with only one exhibition game experience (Hall of Fame Game against opposing team's #2 defense) and zero regular-season NFL games. Source questions whether inserting Beck as QB2 is prudent strategy, noting he is 'not battle-tested whatsoever' and lacks the live game experience of Minshew (63 games, 47 starts). Would become backup if Minshew is traded.
