Brady deploying Coleman in slot/in-line at career-high rates to maximize his strengths.

Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady is deploying Coleman more in the slot and in-line than ever before; through four games, Coleman has run 16.5% of his routes from the slot and 6.8% in-line (combined 23.3%), compared to 10.8% as a rookie and 18.7% in 2024 regular season. Brady has also increased tight-split looks before the snap, giving Coleman slot-esque positioning on outside routes; instances of reduced-split outside routes are up to 50.9% through four games versus 35% in his rookie season and 2024. This curated deployment provides Coleman more room to operate as a large-body, athletic-but-not-twitchy weapon at intermediate and downfield levels.
