The ball just like, hit Jake's [49ers center Jake Brendel] butt,' Purdy recalled. 'It popped back up, and I was like, 'oh gosh,' I went to go get it, and he [Black] just snatched it and then kept going on his running back track for the run.'

Purdy's bad snap led to Kaelon Black's fourth-and-1 conversion; play was designed as a handoff.

Purdy was involved in the fourth-and-1 conversion play at Denver's 18-yard line where a bad snap from center Jake Brendel was diverted to Kaelon Black. Purdy explained: 'The ball just like, hit Jake's butt. It popped back up, and I was like, oh gosh, I went to go get it, and he [Black] just snatched it and then kept going on his running back track for the run.' The play was supposed to be a handoff to Black, not a direct snap to Black.
