Black's awareness on deflected snap led to crucial fourth-and-1 conversion; rookie showing strong play-making.

Black made a crucial heads-up play on a fourth-and-1 conversion at Denver's 18-yard line, catching a deflected snap from center Jake Brendel and diving for the first down. The play was designed as a handoff to Black, but the bad snap forced him to improvise; his awareness to make the dive and convert was invaluable. As a rookie, Black has been praised for his ability to spell Christian McCaffrey and his awareness on plays like this. The conversion set up a Deebo Samuel touchdown a few plays later.
