Yahoo Sports NFL on Jake Ferguson

Ferguson's blocking disappoints despite reliable pass-catching in red zone.

Jake Ferguson's blocking earned a D- grade from the source. Jesse Holley, former Cowboys wide receiver and current the source, was critical of Ferguson's run and pass blocking all game, expressing disappointment in what he saw from the Cowboys Pro Bowl tight end. As a pass catcher, Ferguson proves to be a reliable target for Prescott when he needs a first down or touchdown in the red zone, and made a great catch on fourth down to keep the game-winning drive moving. However, blocking has been a question mark since joining the Cowboys, as Dallas asks a lot of their tight ends in the run game and especially when they need an extra pass blocker.
