A Saquon Barkley absence could exacerbate the Eagles' problems... It had to play Sunday without right tackle Lane Johnson (who has since retired), top wide receiver DeVonta Smith and, other than the first four plays, Barkley.

Barkley's limited availability worsens Eagles' already-depleted offensive weapons.

Saquon Barkley was unavailable for most of the Week 4 game against the Rams (playing only the first four plays). The source notes that Barkley isn't having the best season, but his absence exacerbates the Eagles' offensive problems. The Philadelphia offense is getting really low on good players, and Barkley's unavailability further depletes an already thin supporting cast around Jalen Hurts.
