STACKED’s take
Skattebo's 3 fumbles in 76 touches and 3.08 YPA over last 3 games raise efficiency concerns.
Cam Skattebo has fumbled the ball three times in 76 touches this season, demonstrating concerning ball security issues. Over the last three games, he has gained just 154 yards on 50 carries, averaging 3.08 yards per attempt. His season average is 3.5 yards per carry on 68 rushing attempts with a longest gain of just 13 yards. Head coach John Harbaugh emphasized the need to 'protect the football at all times,' warning that 'Sometimes you try too hard to get the extra couple yards, to break out of the pile, to get the run game going. And then the ball becomes a little bit vulnerable.' Harbaugh stated 'protect the ball at all costs. The yards are going to come. Make that the first priority.'
