Love's ankle injury and apparent dejection cloud his rookie season outlook.

The third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Jeremiyah Love is dealing with a new ankle injury separate from an August injury, per head coach Mike LaFleur. Through the first four weeks, Love appears genuinely dejected and not like he's having fun; his postgame comments suggest fatigue and frustration with his body. The team's lack of a clear week-to-week plan for using this huge investment compounds the difficulty of his rookie season in a losing situation.
