Yahoo Sports NFL on Tyler Shough
From the article
Tyler Shough is the real deal and his teammates rally behind him. He's been one of the three consistent bright spots for the Saints this season, along with Chris Olave and Chase Young.
STACKED’s take
Shough is the real deal with clutch gene; long-term answer for Saints.
Canal Street Chronicles identifies Shough as one of three consistent bright spots for the Saints this season alongside Chris Olave and Chase Young. Shough showed promise in limited rookie starts, attacked the offseason and exceeded expectations, carrying momentum into 2026. His ball placement, arm strength to stretch the field, pocket poise, and ability to extend plays with his legs give the Saints an offensive dimension they haven't had; most importantly, he possesses a clutch gene and can make plays when the Saints need them most. While the offense starts slowly—attributed more to coordinator Kellen Moore—Shough still plays a role in getting into rhythm, but overall the source has seen enough to believe he can be the long-term answer at quarterback in New Orleans.
