FantasyPros Articles on Carnell Tate

Tate's breakout game against Baltimore and Houston's vulnerable WR defense set up Week 5 upside.

Tate, the No. 4 overall pick, posted nine catches for 145 yards on 12 targets against Baltimore in Week 4, more than doubling his yardage total from his first three games. Cam Ward has struggled as a rookie (6.1 yards per pass attempt, under 200 yards in each of his first four games before Tate's big game helped him reach 222 yards in Week 4). Tate's performance hinted he was worth the early first-round pick. Week 5 matchup against Houston is favorable: the Texans have given up the most fantasy points and second-most receiving yards to wide receivers this season.
