Williams poised to stretch Cardinals' zone and expose secondary flaws after Panthers bounce-back.

Williams has been credited with five drops through four games, but bounced back against the Panthers' zone-shell defense with 6 of 8 targets for 102 yards. Offensive coordinator Drew Petzing expressed confidence in his recent performance and willingness to expand his role. Against the Cardinals' Vic Fangio-style secondary (two-high split-safety shells with heavy Cover-3, -4 and -6 looks), Williams is expected to stretch the safeties in zone coverage, make contested plays downfield, and expose flaws in the Cardinals' zone assignments. If he executes, he will force the Cardinals' safeties to expand their coverage zones and open things up underneath for teammates.
