Goff set to exploit Cardinals' 30th-ranked pass defense with elite efficiency metrics.

Goff threw for 412 yards and a score last week against the Panthers, including a 49-yard catch to Williams and a 57-yarder to Isaac TeSlaa. The Cardinals' pass defense is significantly worse than the Lions' secondary: 31st in pass defense DVOA, 32nd in pass yards allowed per play (9.1), 30th in EPA per pass play (0.29), and 32nd in explosive pass allowed. With the Cardinals' run defense solid (10th in run defense DVOA), the Lions are expected to move away from an even run/pass split and let Goff—ranked 3rd in passing yards, 5th in passer rating, 3rd in EPA vs. zone, and 2nd in PFF passing grade—go to work against the Cardinals' loose zone coverage.
