Windy City Gridiron on Rome Odunze

Odunze led Bears with 6 explosive plays; 37-yard reception was analyst's favorite play

Odunze led the Bears with 6 explosive plays in Week 4 against the Jets, including a 37-yard deep middle reception that Rome. Burden called their favorite play of the game. Odunze demonstrated excellent route-running savvy, beating the safety with composure and agility; on one play he attacked the inside stem to get the DB to open his hips, making him prone to the out route despite having no outside leverage pre-snap. His one-handed grab on a 20-yard play-action deep left route showed composure and athleticism at 6'3". Rome. Burden noted Odunze's route salesmanship and the agility needed to cut like that at his size.
