David Montgomery has 47 carries for 127 yards and 2.7 yards per attempt, the lowest efficiency among running backs. Despite receiving more than half of the team's carries, Montgomery is the least effective runner. The source attributes this partly to the Texans being dead last in percentage of times a runner is hit at or before the line of scrimmage (60%, six points worse than 31st place). The recommendation is to reduce Montgomery to 5-10 carries per game and give Woody Marks the 10-15 carries instead.
