Prescott was far from his normal self, and the offense paid dearly for it... Facing a critical third down, Prescott breaks away from a sure sack and, once he bails the pocket, has a clear shot down the field at CeeDee Lamb. If Prescott lays the ball out and puts some air under it, Lamb likely makes the catch and waltzes into the end zone. Instead, Prescott throws it short, and it is very nearly intercepted.

Prescott was lifeless in the first half and far from his normal self; the offense paid dearly for it. Despite being terrific all season, he missed a critical third-down throw to CeeDee Lamb in the second quarter where he threw short instead of laying the ball out deep, nearly resulting in an interception. Had he hit that throw, Lamb likely scores and changes how Todd Bowles attacks the Dallas offense for the remainder of the night. That was one Prescott had to have to get the Cowboys out of their offensive funk.
