Purdy must balance aggression with patience against Seattle's bend-don't-break scheme.

Quarterback afforded the seventh-most time to be pressured in the NFL and eighth-most time to throw, but occasionally leaves clean pockets when he doesn't need to. Offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak emphasized the balance between aggression and patience, particularly against Seattle's bend-but-don't-break defense. Kubiak cited Matthew Stafford as a model for success against the Seahawks: "You get your shots when they're there. You make the throw, but you're patient when it's not there, and you keep playing." Purdy's aggressiveness hasn't wavered, but discipline is required.
