Blogging The Boys on Dak Prescott
From the article
The offense led by Dak Prescott was lifeless in the first half. Prescott was far from his normal self, and the offense paid dearly for it.
STACKED’s take
Prescott's lifeless first half and missed deep shot to Lamb cost Cowboys momentum.
Prescott was lifeless in the first half and far from his normal self; despite being historically very good against the blitz, something wasn't quite right with him for much of the evening. On a critical 3rd-and-10 with prime field position after a Bryan Anger punt inside the Tampa Bay 5-yard line, Prescott broke away from a sure sack and had a clear shot down the field at CeeDee Lamb but threw it short instead of laying it out with air under it; had he hit that throw deep, it likely changes how Todd Bowles attacks the Dallas offense the remainder of the night. The source notes that was one he had to have and there was a lid on the Cowboys offense for far too long, with that moment needed to get out of the funk.
