More options and efficiency in the run game is also part of why we are probably going to see some of J.J. McCarthy at times. He is not the dangerous runner that Dart is, but he does give the Giants the opportunity to use pieces of the playbook that Jameis Winston does not.

NeutralRole

McCarthy will get limited package usage for mobility and run game versatility.

McCarthy will see package usage in the Giants offense, particularly in short-yardage and zone read situations. He is not as dangerous a runner as Dart but gives the Giants access to playbook pieces that Jameis Winston does not. The Giants had a McCarthy package ready against Arizona and will have one against Washington. McCarthy is younger and more mobile than Winston, though the challenge is avoiding predictability when inserting him.
