Allen waived by Commanders, claimed by Dolphins after limited opportunity.

Kaytron Allen was waived by the Washington Commanders on Friday and claimed by the Miami Dolphins, becoming the first roster cut casualty from the 2026 draft class. Allen was a sixth-round pick who arrived in Washington with limited draft capital. He now joins a Dolphins backfield that has lost De'Von Achane to a season-ending ACL injury, alongside Ollie Gordon, Jaylen Wright, and Carlos Washington. Allen rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown against Miami in the preseason, so the Dolphins are familiar with his abilities.
