Brian Schottenheimer is the third head coach that Prescott has had in his now 11-year career, and he is far and away the one getting the least wins out of him... Dak has been healthy for all 22 games of the Schottenheimer era. Dallas has won 9 of them.

Dak Prescott is a quarterback you can win with, but Brian Schottenheimer is converting his talent into fewer wins than any of his three head coaches. In the Schottenheimer era (22 games, all with Prescott healthy), Dallas has won only 9 games (39% win rate). By comparison, Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy both achieved higher win rates with Prescott under center, despite the 2026 version of Prescott being more advanced than any previous iteration. Schottenheimer's offensive play-calling and defensive coordinator choices (Matt Eberflus initially, then Christian Parker) have failed to balance the team's performance despite having a healthy, elite quarterback.
