Watson's fourth-quarter heroics fuel extension speculation if Browns reach playoffs.

Watson's revival from preseason uncertainty—when his contract status was questioned—to leading three fourth-quarter comebacks has been impressive; however, his overall performance has been closer to 'fine' than the primary driver of Cleveland's 3-1 start. Per Mary Kay Cabot, if Watson leads the Browns to the playoffs, the team 'will certainly try to re-sign or extend him,' citing his strong relationships with the front office, coaching staff, and teammates as factors supporting a potential extension.
