Big Blue View on Cam Skattebo

Skattebo's overtime fumble costs Giants a win; 4 fumbles lead all RBs this season.

Ball security issues plagued Skattebo on Sunday. He fumbled with the Giants at the Commanders 24-yard line with a first down and the game in their hands in overtime, negating two big runs (a 19-yarder on third-and-2 and a 9-yarder to put the ball in field goal range at the Washington 29-yard line). This is Skattebo's fourth fumble of the season, the most of any running back in the league. The source emphasizes that while Washington's clock mismanagement prevented the Giants from losing, Skattebo's fumble certainly prevented them from winning. Head coach John Harbaugh has emphasized ball security repeatedly.
