Yahoo Sports NFL on Justin Herbert

Herbert's fourth-quarter meltdown (3 TOs) and 121 passing yards mark continued regression.

Herbert melted down in the fourth quarter with three consecutive drive-killing turnovers: a fumble on a fourth-and-one keeper, a fumble on the next possession, and an interception on the following drive. He was sacked five times, completed 14 of 24 passes for 121 yards (his lowest passing total since 81 yards vs. Jacksonville last November), and has now gone seven consecutive games with at least as many interceptions as touchdowns dating to last season. Playing behind a cobbled-together offensive line with starting tackles Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater injured, Herbert acknowledged the turnover problem: 'Just can't turn the ball over.'
