Pierce rushed 11 times for 14 yards, a dismal 1.3 yards per carry, and saw five of the Eagles' 37 targets (13.5%) for two catches and negative two yards. While the Jaguars allowed the second-most receiving yards to running backs this season, targeting a fourth-string running back who was on the practice squad prior to the week seemed excessive. Pierce's poor rushing performance may have been hampered by poor run blocking, but his receiving usage was puzzling given his ineffectiveness. With Will Shipley out multiple games and Saquon Barkley's availability unknown, Pierce could see more work in Week 6.
