St. Brown took emergency punt return duties but Lions will seek alternative.

Starting wide receiver took over emergency punt return duties following Tom Kennedy's season-ending MCL injury; however, the Lions are unlikely to keep him in this role long-term due to the extra physical punishment that comes with returning punts and will likely seek a different option.
