Positive signalRole

Royals positioned as Rice's direct backup; 7.2-yard aDOT mirrors Rice's catch-and-run role.

Backup receiver with 29 routes; aligned in slot 10 times and outside 20 times for pass plays; 3 catches for 17 yards and 1 TD (none from slot); fits Rice's play style as hard-to-tackle after-catch playmaker with 7.2-yard average throw depth nearly matching Rice's mark. If Rice misses time, Royals feels like direct substitute for slot role.
