Allen's college deep-ball production (13 TDs, 23% deep targets) positions him as Thornton replacement.

Backup receiver with 5 routes; could step into big-play role missing without Thornton. College production at University of Cincinnati: 51 catches for 674 yards and FBS-leading 13 touchdowns; 6 of those scores came on throws 20+ yards downfield; 23% of Allen's targets in 2025 were deep throws. During preseason and training camp, appeared to be developing chemistry with Patrick Mahomes on difficult throws over middle and sideline. May not have Thornton's linear speed, but route running and ball skills could compensate.
