If Watson is called up, it likely means Kansas City feels it is missing a downfield route runner.

STACKED’s take

NeutralRole

Watson is 6'2" reserve; elevation would signal need for size and downfield routes.

Reserve receiver; 6 feet 2 inches or taller with plenty of high-effort blocking reps; if called up from practice squad, it would signal Kansas City feels it needs more size than Worthy, Royals, and Allen provide and is missing a downfield route runner.
