Wicks demonstrated strong availability and route-running in empty formations against Jacksonville; the source highlights multiple plays where Wicks was open over the middle and working in coordination with Hurts, including a play where Hurts "gets the cornerback to show his hand before the snap and throws straight to Dontayvion Wicks, who turns around immediately." The source notes that "the receiver and quarterback are working together, the answer is available, and the ball comes out," and later credits Wicks with being available on a tougher throw over the middle on third down, suggesting he is a reliable target when the offense executes its plan.
