Bleeding Green Nation on Jalen Hurts

Hurts forced into poor mechanics on game-winning deep shot due to protection scheme.

On the missed deep shot to Wicks that could have won the game, Hurts had to throw while jumping off his back foot due to poor protection scheme; the Eagles left the linebacker free instead of the outside rusher, forcing Hurts into a compromised throwing position on a play with almost no margin for error; this protection pattern repeats throughout the offense, raising questions about coaching.
