Silver And Black Pride on Kirk Cousins

Cousins' job security hinges on Week 6 vs Bills; protection issues compounded blowout loss.

Klint Kubiak called Kirk Cousins the Raiders' starter during Monday's press conference, putting a brief halt to benching questions. However, if Las Vegas loses to the 4-1 Buffalo Bills in Week 6, conversations about replacing him with Fernando Mendoza will intensify. Nick Shook notes it's not yet time to consider benching Cousins, but the Raiders' inability to protect him and lack of ground-game production prevented the offense from keeping pace in the Patriots blowout.
