Silver And Black Pride on Brock Bowers

Bowers is the Raiders' primary functional weapon but underutilized against favorable matchup.

Identified as one of only two functional offensive weapons on the Raiders offense alongside Michael Mayer; despite being 6-4 and facing a significant size mismatch against 5-8 Patriots cornerback Marcus Jones, the coaching staff repeatedly called run plays instead of exploiting the obvious passing advantage. The source notes: 'The Raiders' offense is dysfunctional outside of Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer' and criticizes the failure to scheme him open: 'Calling run play after run play despite the obvious mismatch of having all 5-8 of Marcus Jones covering 6-4 Bowers one-on-one nearly all game long.'
