Okonkwo was a welcomed presence coming back from injury, as the Commanders did not have a real tight end threat until Sunday when he and Daniels had a 23-yard pass on the first play from scrimmage, and then he made a 25-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. However, he was quiet in the second half of the game as the Giants used their blitz packages to force him into pass protection for Daniels.

NeutralRole

Okonkwo's early impact (48 yards) faded as Giants' blitz forced pass protection role.

Okonkwo returned from injury and made an immediate impact, recording a 23-yard reception on the first play from scrimmage with Daniels and a 25-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. However, his role diminished significantly in the second half as the Giants deployed blitz packages that forced him into pass protection duties for Daniels rather than receiving opportunities. The source notes: "he was quiet in the second half of the game as the Giants used their blitz packages to force him into pass protection for Daniels." This suggests Okonkwo's fantasy value is scheme-dependent and may fluctuate based on opponent defensive approach.
