Purdy's system mastery and offseason optimization reaching elite QB sweet spot at 26.

At 26 in his fifth season in Kyle Shanahan's system, Purdy is reaching a career sweet spot where his Xs-and-Os mastery is clicking without physical decline. Shanahan confirmed Purdy is now understanding the "why" of play calls, and Steve Young observed in the Rams game that Purdy optimized his offseason training—quicker decision-making, faster reads, improved body control and footwork. Young noted Purdy's confidence with Mike Evans' spatial awareness allows Shanahan to lean into aggressive play-calling, knowing Evans will find open space even when the play breaks down.
