Yahoo Sports NFL on Matthew Hibner

Hibner's hand injury and Vannett signing cloud his role growth outlook.

Tight end did not receive any targets against the Falcons but stayed active with 10 pass snaps and 20 run-blocking snaps; he hurt his hand early in the game and was carted off the field but eventually returned to receive blocking snaps. His hand injury could have factored into his lack of targets. His role growth remains uncertain with Druham Smythe out for the year and Ja'Kobi Lane returning to establish his own target share; the Ravens also signed veteran Nick Vannett from their practice squad to help fill Smythe's role.
