Footballguys on George Pickens

Pickens' 2025 season was an outlier; WR39 pace in 2026 mirrors his early-season struggles.

Meng Song contends that fantasy drafters anointed George Pickens far too quickly on the back of an outlier 2025 season. Pickens was WR6 in PPR PPG last year, but the context matters: in the first two weeks of 2025 before Lamb's injury, Pickens was WR34 in PPR PPG. From Weeks 7-17 with both receivers active, Pickens was WR12 while Lamb was WR14. In 2026, Pickens has fallen to WR39 in PPR PPG through Week 4, mirroring his early-season 2025 struggles. Song notes Pickens has had near-miss downfield connections with Dak Prescott but cautions that better days may come; the preseason hype was overblown.
