Wilson emphasized the significance of the Week 6 Jets-Patriots divisional matchup, telling media on October 14: "We're six games in; there's a premium on this one because it is our first one, and I don't know how to exactly put it, but it's a big [expletive] game. We're going to be ready to play [and] I'm excited for it." The source notes divisional games count as 1.5 versus normal games, and the Patriots matchup carries even higher importance given historical context; the Jets are 2-18 in their last 20 meetings against New England.
