The Rashid Shaheed contract looks like a disaster. Shaheed was a good player for the New Orleans Saints and a valuable part of Seattle's Super Bowl run last year, albeit primarily through special teams. He does not fit this offense and possibly not this quarterback.

Shaheed contract looks disastrous; doesn't fit offense; three fumbles in five weeks

Contract looks like a disaster; doesn't fit the offense or quarterback. His 5-catch showing flatters him, with his best play being a two-point conversion catch. He lost a fumble and had a critical dropped kickoff to start overtime that backed Seattle up to its 11-yard line. He's fumbled three kickoffs in five weeks, and the source doesn't see how he survives his contract despite being a fan of his play.
