Lions add veteran returner Carter to replace injured Kennedy.

The Detroit Lions signed veteran returner and former Eagles wide receiver DeAndre Carter to their practice squad, giving them a competitive option for their return game after losing primary punt and kick returner Tom Kennedy for the season. Carter possesses a level of experience that internal options on the active roster and practice squad lack.
