Rushers with established roles as pass-catchers have finished as RB2s against Tampa's defense. Even in Week 1, with both RBs active, Warren out-targeted Dowdle (6 to 4) on fewer routes. In Dowdle's absence, Warren's not only been fifth in RB target rate, but his 1.99 YPRR sits right behind Jahmyr Gibbs (2.14).

Warren's pass-catching role favors him against Tampa's weak coverage of receiving backs.

Warren faces Tampa Bay's defense, which has allowed just two 100-yard rushers since last year (fourth-best mark among defenses). However, the Bucs' weakness is against pass-catching backs: Chase Brown scored 18.8 PPR points with 54.1% route rate in Week 1; Aaron Jones Sr. scored 14.2 with 58.8% route rate in Week 3; Javonte Williams scored 14.2 with 33.3% route rate in Week 5. Warren, currently RB9 in half-PPR, has been fifth in RB target rate and his 1.99 yards per route run sits just behind Jahmyr Gibbs (2.14). Even if Dowdle returns, Warren's established pass-catching role should keep him as the featured option in Week 6.
