Mahomes anchors elite Chiefs offense rebuilt with discipline and running-game identity.

Mahomes is central to the Chiefs' return to elite status; the offense has been reshuffled with Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator and Chad O'Shea as wide receivers coach to restore discipline and accountability. The Chiefs' new identity emphasizes the running game to counter defensive adjustments (defenses taking away big plays, generating pressure with four rushers, dropping seven into coverage), but Mahomes remains the anchor. Arrowhead Pride notes the risk of leaving defensive backs exposed against Mahomes when opponents employ man-to-man coverage to stop Kenneth Walker.
