Yahoo Sports NFL on Jayden Daniels

Daniels' late snap with 12 seconds left cost Commanders a potential game-winning FG attempt.

Daniels snapped the ball with 12 seconds left on the clock during a critical end-of-game situation against the Giants, leaving insufficient time for the Commanders to execute a spike and field-goal attempt; the operational failure was compounded by a lack of pre-snap communication about timeout availability and the need to avoid sacks, highlighting a breakdown in situational awareness and quarterback-coordinator alignment in high-leverage moments.
