McCaffrey defends Nix's effort and 4-2 record despite criticism of his play

Ed McCaffrey, former Broncos player (1995-2003, three Super Bowls), defended Nix against criticism, arguing that winning should be celebrated and that while Nix's play is fair game for criticism on throws and decisions, questioning his heart and desire to win is inappropriate. McCaffrey noted the Broncos are 4-2 after a daunting schedule with wins over Jaguars, Rams, Chargers, and Seahawks, and losses only to the undefeated Chiefs and 49ers, contextualizing that "4-2 ain't bad" and "The grass isn't always greener" when comparing Nix to other Super Bowl-winning and All-Pro QBs.
