STACKED’s take
Okonkwo's four-catch, 60-yard Week 5 breakout signals potential as Daniels' go-to target.
Okonkwo delivered a promising breakout performance against the Giants, catching four passes for 60 receiving yards on six targets and setting the tone early as the Commanders built a two-score lead in the first half. While his start in Washington wasn't ideal, he's now building chemistry with Jayden Daniels and has the athleticism and playmaking ability to be a high-volume pass-catcher in the Commanders' system. The source notes the Commanders have been notoriously bad at covering tight ends for years, allowing Dallas Goedert, Jake Ferguson, and Isaiah Likely to have field days; Okonkwo needs to become that tight end nightmare they can't defend and prove his Week 5 production surge can become the start of great things.
