Cole Payton elevated to third-string QB with daily developmental reps and organizational backing.

Fifth-round rookie quarterback is now third on the Eagles depth chart behind Jalen Hurts (blood clot in calf) and Tanner McKee; has been preparing as a starter since training camp with dedicated developmental reps, scout team work, and daily after-practice sessions with quarterbacks coach Parks Frazier and offensive assistant Montgomery VanGorder; head coach Nick Sirianni incorporated multiple developmental periods into weekly practice schedule specifically to ensure Payton gets necessary reps despite being buried on depth chart; general manager Howie Roseman stated the organization sees 'long term value' in having Payton on the roster.
