Sanders positioned as likely 2026 Browns starter; GM Berry has strong affection for young QB.

Sanders seems more likely to replace Deshaun Watson as the Browns starter in 2026 than Watson signing a contract extension; Browns GM Andrew Berry is said to have great affection for Sanders, whom he drafted 18 months ago while the rest of the NFL passed on him multiple times, making it unlikely Berry would trade him away despite Sanders hiring an agent for the first time and potentially seeking a fresh start after a poor rookie season and losing the quarterback competition to Watson.
