Herbert struggled to generate momentum; multiple stalled drives and pressure situations.

Herbert struggled to generate offensive momentum against Kansas City's defense; he threw a short slant to Keenan Allen that was dropped on third down, failed to move the offense effectively after a favorable field position recovery at the Chargers' 41-yard line, and was hit while attempting a fourth-down pass at the Kansas City eight-yard line in the final drive. The Chargers' inability to execute in critical situations reflects Herbert's difficulty finding rhythm and decision-making under pressure.
