Mahomes efficient early but stalled by Chargers defense; forced multiple field goals.

Mahomes led the Chiefs to an efficient opening drive of the second half, moving the offense down to the Chargers' eight-yard line in just three plays before the Chargers' front seven forced a turnover on downs. Later, the Chargers defense shut down Mahomes and forced another field goal from Harrison Butker. The mixed performance reflects the Chargers' defensive adjustments limiting Kansas City's scoring opportunities despite early offensive success.
