STACKED’s take

Negative signalRole

Watson's slow decision-making and lack of anticipation disrupts offensive rhythm.

Watson lacks quickness across all decision-making dimensions—throw timing, cuts, pulling down to run, and abandoning plays—creating offensive rhythm issues. The source notes Watson seems uncomfortable throwing receivers open and lacks anticipation and gumption, which takes the entire offense out of sync. Even his running has slowed as the season progressed.
